Anxiety comes from the unmet need of feeling safe. So, what do you need to feel safe?
The best thing about being a human being is that we have a brain and that allows us the power to change the meaning we associate with being safe. I encourage you to ponder the above question as most of us have never paused to ask our anxiety what it’s purpose is.
In this video, I offer a few tips that actually work in overcoming anxiety while also giving you a roadmap to understanding how the brain works so we can shift our perspective of anxiety being our enemy.
Observation = power. Power = self connection.
What is the antidote to anxiety? Self-connection.
And I’m not talking about the phoney self connection that comes from bypassing your fear. We all wanna feel good, but if you can’t focus your attention on the present, you’ll get swept up in the chaos of trying to create safety from a place of control instead of surrender. Coz folks, being in control is so overrated.
