When Your Life Falls Apart Don’t Drink Wine, Play Jenga Instead (video) | BU EP1 | Just Be You | Amber Hawken | MINDFULNESS COGNITIVE BEHAVIOURAL THERAPY
Could A #strongjengagame Be The Solution To A Meltdown
I have them. You've had them. Your parents, sisters, brothers, friends, school teachers and boss have had them.
Meltdowns. Things fall apart. It's a natural part of the cycle of the life and death of our never constant world.
Everything ends. It's how we deal with every stage of life, specifically the end; end of relationships, end of careers, end of lovely Sunday afternoons, end of an ice-cream, end of a strong financial month etc; actually determines the quality of our lives. Our ability to react in an empowered way is imperative for a life of flow.
Be prepared to laugh and unpack your everyday behaviours. You'll realise just how much of what we do goes unnoticed and influences how we we are coping (or not coping) when things don't go our way.
You'll learn how to flow with life, let go of control and get through those rough patches with a little more ease and grace.
How we do Jenga, is how we do life.
Pay attention to the subtle stages of the game and see how this can teach you about how you show up in life.
Knowledge is power and once we are aware of how we do what we do, we can choose to change.
We don't know what we don't know, right?

FEEL FREE: Cultivate the Skill of Emotional Regulation and Release
This practice is one of the most underestimated of all foundational practices when it comes to personal power because it teaches you that you can actually handle your own feelings. It will support you to cultivate the art of staying with rather than running from feeling and sensation. It's emotional black belt kinda’ stuff.
